Septogard aerosol is a medicine for pain and inflammation of the mouth and throat.

The drug Septogard contains the active substance benzidamine hydrochloride, which belongs to a group of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Septogard inhibits pain and swelling (inflammation). It is used to treat many painful disorders of the mouth or throat, such as:

ulcers in the mouth
sore throat
pain inside the mouth or gums
toothache

The recommended dose is:

Adults, adolescents and the elderly: 4 to 8 aerosol doses, not more frequently than every 1.5 to 3 hours;
Children (aged 6-12 years): 4 aerosol doses, not more often than every 1.5 – 3 hours;
Children under 6 years of age: 1 aerosol dose for every 4 kg of body weight, maximum 4 doses, not more frequently than every 1.5 – 3 hours.
