Farmak International's history in Poland began in 2015, when Nordfarm, a Łódź-based company specializing in over-the-counter medications and dietary supplements, became part of the Farmak Group.

Since then, work has begun on expanding the company's portfolio and expanding its product range to include prescription medications.

Under Farmak International's leadership, Nordfarm's strategy has continued toward uncompromising product quality and modern business practices.

The Farmak Group, represented by Farmak International, has a headquarters in Switzerland and production facilities in two European countries, including Ukraine, where it specializes in both finished products and active pharmaceutical ingredients – the core of the company's operations. There are 13 representative offices and marketing companies worldwide, and the Farmak Group exports its products to 60 countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

In 2022, construction began on a factory in Barcelona, ​​Spain, with opening scheduled for 2025.
In 2023, two companies from the Czech Republic and Slovakia joined Farmak International.

On January 3, 2024, Nordfarm Sp. z o.o. merged with Farmak International Sp. z o.o., so all liabilities currently remain with Farmak International, while maintaining full organizational and legal continuity. In March 2024, Farmak International acquired the Polish company Symphar, strengthening its position in the European Union market.
Effective April 1, 2025, all Farmak International operations in Poland were consolidated under a single legal entity – Farmak International Sp. z o.o.
