Hytrin

Hytrin relieves the symptoms of prostatic hyperplasia. In combination with other blood pressure lowering drugs
blood pressure, it can also be used to treat high blood pressure.
Benign prostatic proliferation: Hytrin relaxes the muscles of the prostate gland, which surrounds the
the inner part of the urethra in men. This makes urination easier,
and symptoms are alleviated.
High blood pressure: Hytrin lowers blood pressure by dilating small blood vessels
blood vessels (located away from the heart). This reduces vascular resistance to the pumping of blood
by the heart. Hytrin does not act directly on the blood vessel walls. It exerts an effect on
nerves that affect the blood vessels.
